Bars, bars, and more bars!

Andalucía boasts the most in Spain
It might not be an exaggeration after all to say that there's at least one bar on every street in Spain, or at least in Andalucía. According to a recent economic study done by La Caixa, Andalucía is at the top of the list as far as bar count goes with Cataluña, Madrid and Valenica right behind it. In Granada province alone there are more than 5.000 bars, and the number keeps rising as one establishment after another is restored and opened for business. Southern Spain receives tourists all year round, and in times of the economic crisis many business owners see bars as as the surest way to go. Because let's be honest, we're not cutting back on our cañas now are we? So keep your eyes peeled for new bars popping up around town. On average we can expect a couple hundred new ones in the province in 2012.
