More Live Music in Granada!

  1. Group petitions to bring a cultural revival to Granada

The organisation Actuable has planned a 3-month project in which they will try to bring back the cultural aspect to Granada that it claims the city has lost over the years. The group is currently seeking to collect 10.000 signatures to present to the city council requesting an interview with Mayor José Torres Hurtado, among others. They are asking the city to allocate more licenses to venues to allow live music. The project aims to prove that both the musicians and concert goers are able to put on shows, respecting the city's regulations of hours and noise. If all goes well, the project will commence on March 16, offering an alternative to the annual Fiesta de Primavera, better known as a Spanish botellón where thousands of youngsters gather in the plazas to celebrate the start of the new season.
