The Rojiblancos March On
-
Alex Geijo led from the front scoring a double against a feisty Cartagena to put Granada back in the Play-offs.
With 22 goals from the season so far, the swiss-spanish marksman Geijo is back. He is once again out in front of the pack for the second division pichichi. In scoring so prolifically he has ensured that Granada CF stay in the race for the much coveted play off spot.
They fought to a 2-1 home victory in the weekend to turn the tide on what had been a bad month of results in March, having claimed just 3 points from their last 5 games.
But things are still very tight at the business end of la liga Adelante and while Granada are sitting pretty in 5th position on 50 points the next 7 teams in the chase are seperated by just 5 points.
There are 10 games left for every team and the pressure is really going to start building.
Next match is away to Barcelona B, followed by a home fixture in Los Carmenes v Numancia the weekend after next.
¡Aupa Graná!
